Cheryl Guanzon, Chief Clinical Officer, Co-Founder, Lead Clinician
Introducing our Chief Clinical Officer, Lead Clinician, and one of the Co-founders of Biomend, Cheryl Guanzon. She was originally an Emergency Department and Clinical Decision Unit Registered Nurse, RN at Stanford University Hospital. Through her experiences and her passion for “Delivering compassionate, patient-centered care”, she had developed a drive to become a Nurse Practitioner and pursued her dream of having her own private practice. Through Biomend, Cheryl is passionate about helping her patients receive the quality care they need no matter where they are. Now as the Chief Clinical Officer and Lead Clinician at Biomend, she does it all! She oversees all clinical operations, ensures that quality patient care is implemented with every provider, and to support and mentor the providers. And uses her position to help Biomend grow and guide their vision while guaranteeing their services remain “patient-centered, compassionate, and accessible”.

Cheryl continues to continue caring for her patients outside of the hospital. As a founder and a provider, she is very passionate about helping patients and making sure they receive the quality care wherever they need. Cheryl continues to care for her patients by her wanting to make a “greater impact beyond the walls of a healthcare facility”. She does so by focusing on Biomend’s mission of “providing patient-centered care” and aligning it with her own personal vision of “improving access to healthcare and creating stronger connections with the patients we serve”. Despite her many years in this practice, Cheryl doesn’t seem to be discouraged or tired of what she does as she believes that her patients are her greatest motivators! She says that seeing their resilience and their determination to overcome health challenges motivates her to continue to learn, grow, and provide the highest care possible for her patients. I think we can all agree with Cheryl when she says that being able to make a positive difference in the lives of many people is the greatest reward.
